Mara Sigalos-Rivera, MD, PMH-C
Dr. Mara is a board-certified psychiatrist with clinical experience that includes treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, with particular interests in anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, and perinatal and reproductive mental health. She works closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication, lifestyle interventions, and psychotherapy to support overall wellness.
Dr. Mara earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, graduating magna cum laude with a double major in Neuroscience and Spanish. She received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and awarded the Hilde Bruch Award for excellence in psychiatry. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Southern California/LA General program and served as Chief Resident with a focus on resident and medical student education. During training, she received focused experience caring for pregnant and postpartum individuals and worked closely with pediatric and OB-GYN teams in an integrated care model. Her psychotherapy training includes cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Dr. Mara is board certified in psychiatry and holds a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. She has also completed advanced training in perimenopausal mental health through The Menopause Society and incorporates integrative, holistic perspectives into her evidence-based care. Her practice is affirming, inclusive, and grounded in a social-justice–oriented philosophy, with a commitment to compassionate care for LGBTQ+ individuals and all patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Mara lives in her hometown of Austin, Texas, where she enjoys hiking, yoga, cooking, reading, and spending time with her young children and dog.
Kate Coleman, PA-C
Kate Coleman is a certified physician assistant dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care grounded in collaboration, education, and evidence-based medicine. She is passionate about supporting patients through a holistic understanding of health that considers biological, psychological, and social contributors to well-being. Her clinical interests include mental health, women’s health, and preventive medicine, with experience treating a broad range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, mood disorders, and perinatal and reproductive mental health.
Kate earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where she served as a Student Government Representative and was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology along with a Spanish for Medical Professions Certificate, strengthening her ability to provide culturally responsive and linguistically inclusive care.
Her clinical training spans multiple specialties, including OBGYN and psychiatry. She has experience with the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of psychiatric conditions. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and is committed to lifelong learning and continued professional development.
Outside of clinical practice, Kate lives in Austin, Texas, and enjoys rock climbing, staying active outdoors, and exploring the local community. She values balance, movement, and connection, which inform her approachable and supportive style of care.
